A few months ago, Kim from Chatterbox Quilts approached me about doing a quilt along. The idea was pretty ingenious – combine an interactive quilting community with video tutorials, QuiltFusion software, and we all make and customize the One World quilt!
The individual blocks for One World were designed using QuiltFusion. We set the dimensions so that they could be easily sewn together to make a full quilt. What this means is – during the quilt along, you can customize your block within QuiltFusion, print a brand new pattern and still be able to sew it together into a full quilt! So you can put you own spin on the design and still be able to follow along with everyone else during the quilt along.
Kim has put together an awesome playlist of videos, documenting making the One World quilt. Each month a new set of videos will be release along with the patterns. Kim and I will also be available in a special Facebook group, where everyone can ask questions, share progress and get creative encouragement!
You can participate as a quilter for $39.99. This includes all 7 patterns, access to videos and the social media groups. You can also observe for free, and if you change you mind and pay for the patterns. You can view all the nitty gritty details here. Or if you are ready to sign up – click here! I’ll be posting more information soon and also info about the fabric kit (BatiksPlus.com) in future blog posts.
